TIS Meets the Cadets of University of Miami

We recently printed t-shirts for the Detachment 155 Air Force ROTC program at the University of Miami. This six color job was an honor to one of the highly recognized universities in South Florida, these shirts represents the program that is offered to students from Miami-Dade, FIU, and UM students as well, they all unite at the headquarters located at the University of Miami.

Wearing these shirts with pride the students from the ROTC program represent the University of Miami mascot Sebastian the Ibis. Through the years, the Ibis has become one of the most recognizable college mascots in the United States, which is included in their design. TIS Screen Printing enjoyed printing these shirts and supporting the Hurricanes.

A Young Talent at Rise

TIS was fortunate to work with a talented artist from DC by the name of Jizock. A growing professional in the music industry since he was 10 years old, has allowed him to reach much success and recognition. He’s interviewed some of the industry’s most talented artists in the market today such as Big Sean and interviewed Malice in the Coast 2 Coast Magazine. As of right now he wants to continue working in the Entertainment/ Music industry whether it is through engineering or as an artist. The Sheet is an online Magazine full of creatives who are passionate about what they do, just as a sheet of paper where ideas are formed. I Love J.O. Screen Printed Shirts

Jordan Krassner a.k.a. DJ J.O. a Phenomenal DJ from FIU in the South Florida area and the NYC area . TIS Screen Printing took his idea for “I LOVE J.O.” and screen printed on Comfort Soft Hanes V-Necks for the ladies and the fellas.

This was a two color job on the front and a one color job on the back. They were thrown out to the public in the hottest spots of the M.I.A. for recognition. True Elements Event Competition

The True Elements teams are back! After a long year off the crew has decided to bring back the jam in south Florida, they have proved again that graffiti is a lifestyle. This year they switched things up a bit, they had a graffiti competition first prize winner wins a $1,000 prize and a b-boy battle as well. Their theme this year was something that has a hip hop element to their piece. The Crew GUK, did an amazing job, in memory of Ernesto “LAMAS” Escobedo, this was a phenomenal piece. They got Miami’s own world champ DJ CRAZE throwing down this year along with the cities local favorites MAYDAY, ARTOFFICIAL and GHOSTWRIDAH all performing live throughout the event. Ernie’s Commemoration event at EVE with Llama Beats Crew

Think Tank & TIS joined forces and held one of Christmas’ and this year’s most outstanding shows ever. In memory of Ernesto “LAMAS” Escobedo, we held the Ernie Burger Bash, which was a full house, something we have never seen before. We had a wall full of Ernie’s pictures showing his growth as a young man, a graffiti writer, and his wonderful smile that lit up the room for days. LLAMA BEATS crew is the band that saw Ernie grow up back in the day. Their music is moving and fresh, that everyone who listens to them is addicted. The band members consist of Jose, George, Cal, and Sammy a.k.a. Parable. Ernie’s legacy lives on through their music. We also set up a booth with the last shirts we did with Ernie. TIS Recognized for the Third Edition of The Infamous Mag

Yours truly, Henry Morales is recognized for a straight third in a row, as he is featured in the 2011 new issue of The Infamous Magazine, an urban lifestyle graffiti mag, who had the honor to feature an article of entrepreneurship, and who better than the man himself, behind the screen printing. If you had no idea who he was, now you do. In the segment of the Fashion section, you will get to know more in depth of the man who built his company and has gained success in so little time. You will read about his background, influences, and why he chose his path to be a screen printer. TIS Loses a Brother and Friend

During the Art Basel in December of last year, we lost an amazing person in the TIS family. Ernesto “Lamas” Escobedo at age 25 lost his life in a tragic car accident. He will never be forgotten, this essential person is a god send in our lives. To commemorate his success and contributions to TIS, we have made and designed personal LAMAS shirts. All originals were created by Ernie himself. We will be selling them at lamas.bigcartel.com . Put your LAMAS up and show your support and know Ernie wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
